VPN FAQ: Subscriptions, Connections & Refunds

Start with registration and subscription imports, then troubleshoot client connections, route selection, data usage, and refund requests step by step. Answers follow the practical order of operations, so you can jump straight to the relevant category when an issue comes up.

Account & Subscriptions

Registration requires only a username and password; no email address is required. Retrieve subscriptions from the user panel, and verify them again whenever you change devices, clients, or configurations.

What do I need to register?

No email address is required. Register with a username and password, and save both in a trusted password manager. You will need them to access the user panel, retrieve your subscription, and manage your plan. Keep your username consistent to avoid confusing multiple accounts across clients.

Where can I find my subscription link?

Sign in to the user panel and open the subscription or client download section. Select your platform, retrieve the subscription, and import it into the relevant client. Your subscription is account configuration, so do not share it publicly. When changing clients, retrieve the current subscription from the user panel rather than using an address saved in chat history or an old document.

How do I update my subscription link?

Find the current subscription in your client, then choose Update Subscription or Refresh Configuration. Afterward, check that the route list has loaded again. If the update fails, copy the current subscription from the user panel and import it again. Before re-importing, remove any expired configuration with the same name so the client does not continue using an old route.

Do I need to buy again when changing devices?

You do not need to buy again when changing devices. VPNJN supports unlimited simultaneous devices and works on Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On the new device, sign in to the user panel and retrieve the appropriate client and subscription. You can delete the configuration locally from a device you no longer use.

Connections & Troubleshooting

When troubleshooting connection issues, first distinguish between the local network, client configuration, and target app. Change one condition at a time to make the source of the problem easier to identify.

Why does the client say it is connected while one app still cannot access the internet?

This is usually related to routing rules, system proxy permissions, or the app's own cache. First confirm that the client is using rule mode or another mode suited to your needs, then fully close and reopen the affected app. If the browser works but one app does not, check whether that app uses separate network settings and try another route before starting a new session.

What should I do if subscription import fails?

Confirm that you copied the complete subscription content, with no extra spaces at either end and no explanatory text included. Then check that the client has normal network access. If it still fails, retrieve the subscription again from the user panel and import it with a client that matches your system. Do not treat another app's share text as a subscription address.

What should I check first if the client suddenly cannot connect?

First confirm that your local network can open ordinary websites. Then update the subscription and switch to another available route. If no route connects, fully quit and reopen the client, and check the system time, proxy permissions, and network permissions. Change only one setting at a time so you can identify whether the issue is the route, client, or local network.

What should I do if the connection stops working after switching networks?

When switching between wired, wireless, or other access methods, the existing connection may remain tied to the old network. Disconnect in the client, wait for the system to finish switching networks, and reconnect to the current route. If the affected app retains its old session, close and reopen it so it uses the new outbound connection.

Speed & Routes

VPNJN covers 120+ countries / 160+ routes. Start by considering geographic distance, then compare IEPL dedicated routes, relay routes, and direct routes for your use case.

How should I choose a route during peak hours?

Start with routes closer to your current location, then compare the real-world performance of IEPL dedicated routes, relay routes, and direct routes. Local network conditions change during peak hours, so a route that usually works may not always be the best choice. Keep alternatives with different paths for the same purpose, and switch as soon as loading slows or a session is interrupted.

What is the difference between IEPL dedicated routes, relay routes, and direct routes?

IEPL dedicated routes focus on a stable structure for cross-border links and suit work that depends on sustained connectivity. Relay routes optimize the access path through an intermediate entry point and can help when direct access over the local network is unstable. Direct routes are more straightforward, but their performance depends more on the current carrier and location. Choose based on your use case and test in practice rather than relying on the route name alone.

Why do sessions get interrupted when using AI Tools?

Streaming output and long sessions in AI Tools depend heavily on connection continuity. Changing routes, device sleep, local network changes, or a change in exit region can invalidate the current session. Keep the same stable route whenever possible and avoid frequent region changes. If the page remains unresponsive after waking the device, reconnect and refresh the session.

Do I only need to change routes when Streaming will not play?

Changing routes is a common troubleshooting step, but you should also address app cache and region sessions. Close the Streaming app, connect to a route that matches the region of the target content, and reopen the app. If the account still retains its previous region, clear the app cache or sign in again. Content libraries have different licensing scopes; the platform's current page determines what is available.

Billing & Refunds

Monthly subscriptions reset data on the activation date; data plans remain valid until used and never expire. Payments and refund requests are handled through the user panel.

What monthly subscription plans are available?

Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Consider whether you mainly use websites, collaboration tools, AI Tools, or Streaming, then choose based on expected usage rather than a single session.

Does a data plan reset every month?

Data plans remain valid until used and never expire. Options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Unlike monthly subscriptions, which reset on the activation date, they suit users with irregular usage who prefer to consume data as needed. Before purchasing, confirm on the plans page whether you are choosing a monthly subscription or a data plan.

How is a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade calculated?

For a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade, the price difference is converted into the remaining days. Before proceeding, review the current and target plans in the user panel and confirm the remaining period and data tier after upgrading. To avoid duplicate orders, do not create the same order repeatedly after submitting an upgrade; return to the account overview first and check the plan status.

Which payment methods are supported?

VPNJN supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Open the user panel, select a plan, and create an order. Then complete payment using one of the available methods shown on the page. After paying, return to the account overview to confirm the plan status rather than judging the update solely by whether the payment page closed.

How do I request a refund?

VPNJN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open the ticket section, and include the relevant order and refund request. Keep the necessary details about the order status and connection issue available for verification. The refund policy page governs eligibility; do not place duplicate orders to test payment status.
